peggy’s Story

THIRTY-FIVE YEARS OF SKIN AND STILL LEARNING.

Peggy Lekkas is one of Australia's most awarded dermal

therapists and a certified corneotherapist, a credential

held by only a small handful of practitioners nationally.

In November 2023, she was named Best Dermal Therapist

& Corneotherapist (Australia) at the LUX Global Excellence

Awards.

But the credentials only tell part of the story.

THE STORY

Peggy began her career as a young girl studying at the

Australian College of Aesthetics and Cosmetology on Swanston

Street, Melbourne. From there, her career wove through the

defining eras of modern skin care.

She worked at Le Beau Visage on Chapel Street when beauty

meant Guerlain, Payot, and the great French houses. She

trained in glycolics and chemical peels in the late 1990s.

She was an early practitioner of Botox in Melbourne, working

alongside Dr. Bambra from her own salon on Greville Street,

Prahran. She became known for innovation and was interviewed on

Triple R and Triple M, where she once performed a live

treatment on air.

Then, after thirty-something years in Melbourne's most

demanding beauty corridors, Peggy made a decision that

shaped everything since: she came home to the Bellarine

Peninsula and began studying advanced cosmetic chemistry.

That study led her to corneotherapy, to Dermaviduals, and

to a quieter, more clinical way of working.

Luxe Skin Care opened as a small salon in Drysdale. It

grew quickly because no one else in the area was offering

this level of treatment. The clinic survived COVID. Then

expanded. In July 2022, Peggy opened the larger flagship

in Clifton Springs that exists today.

WHAT SHE DOES NOW

After three and a half decades, Peggy has chosen to

specialise. Her focus today is the women who need her most:

those navigating perimenopause, menopause, and the hormonal

landscape that changes everything about how skin behaves.

Corneotherapy was built for this. So was Peggy.

WHY CLIENTS COME TO LUXE

Because at Luxe, you are met by someone who has worked on

thousands of skins. Who has seen every era of beauty come

and go. Who chose corneotherapy not because it was trendy

but because, after thirty-five years, she finally found a

methodology that respected the skin instead of fighting it.

Because every consultation begins with listening. Because

every protocol is tailored. Because Peggy is not selling

products, she is prescribing them.

Because no two skins are alike, and your treatment shouldn't

be either.
